SPECIALIZED SRAM ENDURO SERIES #1 in Germany

Pro Rider Marcus Klausmann told me after stage 5 “this race has nothing to do with racing a Mountainbike” and that’s exactly how I felt like.

On April 17th 2016, 650 Biker raced at the Specialized SRAM Enduro Series race #1 in Treuchtlingen, Germany. I have to admit that bicycle club “Weisenburg 1894” did a really good job as an organisator and the track was freaking challenging. It was just the weather which transformed the race into a huge mud party. It was raining for days – non stop, so the terain was washed -out really badly.  Knee-deep mudholes and super slippery muddy forest trails made the whole race so challenging. For the Elite it was 7 stages 30 kilometers and an altitude of 1000 metres were to overcome. In the end I got 8th. Place for improvement.
